Set Up, Fill Up, Clean Up.

A guide to setting up and maintaining your slush machine.

For most event hires, your slush machine will come ready assembled and all you will need to do is plug it in, fill it up and switch it on.

      • It may cause eclectic shock or fire.

    • When not using your slush machine, remove the plug from the power outlet.

    • If the power plug is damaged, do not replace it arbitrarily, and contact SlushBro.

    • Do not make contact with the power plug with wet hands.

    • Ensure that the slush machine is positioned in an area with an ambient temperature no higher than 27 degrees celsius.

      • A higher ambient temperature will begin to affect the machine’s operational ability.

    • Do not set up the machine near a heat-generating source.

      • It may cause a fire.

    • Do not set up the machine near combustible gases or inflammable materials.

      • It may cause a fire.

    • Keep at least 30cm distance for the side and rear of the slush machine from walls and other objects.

    • When moving the slush machine, be careful not to slip and fall.

    • The slush machine is made for indoor use only.

    • Do not set up the slush machine on a weak or uneven surface or flood.

  • 1. Place the elastic circles on the back part of the augers ensuring they are firmly in with no gaps.

    2. Line up the white spirals with the end of the augers making sure that the elastic plug at the front is on.

    3. Make sure the elastic circles are still firmly placed.

    4. Line up the circle end of the tub with the elastic circle and push it in.  You may have to lift up the front of the spiral a little bit so that it fits into the hole behind the lever.

    5. Make sure that you can see a little bit of the elastic circle outside the back of the tub.  Make sure there are no creases in the elastic and that it is evenly around. This is crucial to avoid leaks.

    6. Attach the drip trays on the front hooks and place the drip tray lid on top of it.

    7. Repeat 1-6 for SlushBro Double Bowl Machines.

  • If your slush machine has come ready assembled, or you have just set it up yourself, please follow the below instructions to get the party started:

    8. When you fill the tubs up it is better for you to put the water in first so that if there are any leaks you can re-do it and not lose and syrup or make a mess.

    9. If using syrup provided by SlushBro, pour roughly 6L of water in each tub to ensure there are no leaks. You will know if there are leaks if water drains down into the drip trays.

    10. If using syrup provided by SlushBro, put 2L of syrup per side (1 bottle). For bespoke frozen cocktail batch recipes, click here.

    11. Pour the remaining 2L of water into each tub. Pour up to the ‘Max Line’.

    12. Place lids on top.

    13. Make sure the settings are on ‘freezing’ by being pressed up and that the augers are turned on.

    14. Drinks will be ready to serve after letting the machine freeze for circa 90-120 minutes.

    15. If you are adding alcohol (we recommend 750-1000ml per bowl), allow the machine to freeze for circa 90 minutes, allowing an additional 30 minutes for the alcohol to evenly spread throughout the contents. Simply lift up the lid and pour.

  • Ensure you have:

    • Warm soapy water

    • Cloth

    • Towel to dry off parts

    16. Drain each bowl and, if needed, pour some warm (not boiling) water into each bowl to melt the remaining slush contents.

    17. Remove lids from the top of each bowl. Give each lid a wipe down ensuring there are no sticky contents remaining. Both bottom of the lid and outside.

    18. Gently remove each bowl by lifting slightly up from the bottom of the tap and firmly pulling outwards. Ensure the drip trays are attached as the remaining contents in the bowls with be drained through the machine.

    19. Use the warm, soapy cloth to thoroughly wipe both the inside and outside of each bowl, removing any sticky contents.

    20. Remove each auger spiral by pulling outwards and wipe down with a cloth.

    21. Remove both elastic rings at the back of the auger and wipe them down with a cloth.

    22. Remove both elastic plugs on the front of each auger and wipe them down with a cloth. Additionally, wipe down contents on and around metal rods.

    23. Remove drip trays and drip tray lids and wipe down with a cloth.’

    24. Wipe down the front, back, and both sides of the machine and both augers, ensuring that all sticky contents are removed.

    25. Remove the dust filter on the left-hand side of the machine by pinching the handle with your fingers and pulling outwards. Use a brush to remove all collected dust, or, soak in soapy water and leave to dry.

    26. Refer to ‘Setting up’ instructions above for putting the machine back together.
